An Eating Buddy account exists only if you signed in with Google in the app to turn on Account Backup. Deleting it removes everything backed up to our server. The diary on your phone is not affected.
From the app
- Open Eating Buddy and go to Settings, then Account and Backup.
- On the Account tab, tap Delete account and confirm.
This removes your email address, your meal photos and everything else backed up to the account from our server.
By email
If you no longer have the app installed, email hello@eatingbuddy.app from the Google email address you signed in with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will delete the account and confirm by reply within 30 days.
What is deleted and what is kept
- Deleted: your email address and Google account identifier, all backed-up diary entries and photos, and the device records for the phones you signed in on.
- Kept: nothing linked to you. Anonymous usage data and crash reports cannot be linked to your account and are deleted under the retention periods in our Privacy Policy .
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. You can manage it in the Google Play app.
